The Step System
Empowering farmers with eco-friendly technologies to enhance productivity.
Economic Viability Promotes Adoption
Farmers will embrace environmentally friendly approaches only if they make commercial sense. The STEP process is designed to reduce costs and increase yields, making it economically advantageous for our customers.
Superior Effectiveness Ensures Acceptance
When eco-friendly products outperform conventional practices, they gain rapid acceptance. This not only encourages short-term adoption but also ensures the long-term sustainability of new agricultural methods.
Addressing Critical Agricultural Challenges
The STEP system effectively tackles key issues that constrain production and cost control—such as soil salinity and alkalinity, moisture stress, pest and disease resistance, and climate change—that conventional chemical alternatives often fail to resolve.
The Step System (US Patent 10264792B2), which stands for Sustainable, Technology-driven, Eco-friendly Practices, is based on the following core principles
Creating Strong Foundations for Your Crop
Just as instilling the right foundations in children is crucial from a young age, protecting and nurturing crops from seed germination is essential. Our processes enhance root development even in less-than-ideal soil conditions, helping seeds realize their full yield potential. Strong roots enable young seedlings to withstand high temperatures and moisture stress, leading to better germination rates and healthier crop stands. Over time, farmers can optimize seed rates and save on costly seeds.
Robust roots also support stronger stems and foliage, increasing photosynthesis and ultimately boosting yields. The benefits of our methods become apparent quickly—often within 7 to 10 days after germination—and this early advantage continues through to maturity.
Caring for the Topsoil
Our eco-friendly products, enriched with beneficial microbes, are scientifically proven and have been extensively tested under harsh conditions ranging from freezing temperatures to over 48°C. These products have delivered remarkable results in alleviating alkaline soils and increasing yields, even under rain-fed conditions without irrigation. They have been field-tested in India on various crops, including rice, wheat, corn, cotton, citrus, potato, and numerous vegetables.
By promoting rapid root growth and working symbiotically with the crop, our products increase root exudates, which in turn encourage the growth of beneficial microbes. The cumulative impact on soil health is significant, with visible improvements within a single cropping season. Unlike chemicals that degrade over time and offer only short-term benefits, our microbial products gain strength over the duration of the crop. Highly concentrated—with several million microbes per gram—they offer exceptional value for money.
Scientific studies have shown that beneficial microbes can double in number every 30 minutes, leading to exponential growth. This rapid multiplication contributes to the impressive and visible results our products deliver. Farmers who have adopted the STEP principles often report significant reductions in the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides over time.
Improving Yields and Quality of Produce
Crops face various stresses during their growth cycle, including weeds, diseases, pests, and adverse soil and climatic conditions. Sudden temperature increases during grain formation can hasten maturity and reduce grain size, impacting yields. High temperatures can also cause flower and fruit drop, adversely affecting yields and profits.
For example, in wheat cultivation, early leaf senescence reduces photosynthesis during the critical grain formation stage. Since over 75% of grain yield comes from energy produced during photosynthesis, maintaining green leaves longer is crucial. The STEP system helps delay senescence, allowing crops to remain green longer and improve harvests despite adverse conditions. Additionally, the STEP system promotes thicker stems, stronger roots, and more tillers, enabling plants to create and store more energy when conditions are favorable.
These small but crucial benefits enable our products to perform remarkably even under challenging conditions, reducing losses due to biotic and abiotic stresses and helping farmers consistently harvest better crops.
